Height up to 180 cm, width 70 cm. Upright, sturdy shrub with shiny, dark green foliage with a reddish tinge blooms in waves throughout the season. Blossoms large, very full, velvety black-red flowers of classic shape mostly borne solitary. Almost odorless. One of the darkest roses in the world. The buds are almost black, and in autumn the flowers show more black color. If the rose grows in acidic soil, the flowers will be blackish even in summer. Suitable for cut flower. Good disease resistance, but rain can damage flowers. Bred by Jacques Mouchotte in France before 2000.
