Upright, pyramidal, very prickly shrub with large, dark green foliage blooms continuously throughout the season, Blossoms large, full, bright purple, arranged in small clusters. The flowers hardly fade, but it is recommended to cut the withered flowers to promote abundant flowering until autumn. Strong fragrance. Very good disease resistance, good rain resistance. Winters well without cover, but immature shoots can freeze. Bred by Roberts Āboliņš in Latvia, in the breeding farm 'Iedzēni', 1965. The rose was named in honor of Latvian actress Lydia Freimane.
