Height 60-70 cm, width 50-60 cm. Compact, well-branched shrub with dark green foliage blooms in flushes throughout the season with orange-red, double flowers, arranged in large clusters. Almost no fragrance. Very good disease and rain resistance. Bred by Samuel Darragh McGredy IV in Northern Ireland, 1963. Named after the great singer Luis Armstrong (“Satchmo” was his nickname.)
